Welcome to Kivukoni

Kivukoni School, set within Kilifi Plantation and alongside Takaungu creek, offers an inspiring learning environment with a broad and

dynamic  curriculum.
The learning journey, based on the British curriculum, runs from the Early Years (age 2) to lower secondary school (Year 7&8).

Kivukoni is a school where children really do love to learn, in a wonderful, warm and healthy natural environment.
We have a strong focus on sustainable development and nurturing young citizens who will have a positive impact on our planet in future.  Indeed by being at Kivukoni, which is 'off-the-grid' with many environmentally sound practices, they are already part of the solution!

In the era of corona virus, with our open plan classes, spacious facilities and expansive grounds, we will maintain a healthy and hygienic learning environment for all in 2021.

Please come and see for yourselves, or request an online 'visit'.

SCHOOL NEWS

School blossoming!

They say everything has a silver lining - and it seems that covid-19 is no exception.

School has never been busier - bustling with new faces and old, happy little people loving the buzz and creativity of school once again, and the many interactive and physical activities once again available to them.
We are so grateful for the open-air classrooms, halls and many outdoor learning spaces, as we continue to work with caution through the ongoing pandemic.

We  have now undertaken adaptive assessment tests for all the Primary and Lower Secondary students - and are ready to support them in a more targeted fashion as the year moves on,  filling the gaps left by last year's disruptions to learning.

We have also been happy to welcome a few temporary 'covid refugees' this term,  largely from the UK, who have  enjoyed a really positive new experience here at Kivukoni and in Kilifi at large.  It has been an absolute pleasure having them add to our community, and we hope to see some of them again in due course.

We now have 195 children on the register, which is an all time high!  :-)
